Good afternoon. This is Harford County Emergency Manager Rick Ayres on behalf of County Executive David Craig with an important message concerning storm-related debris within your community. Harford County is beginning the recovery process from the effects of yesterday’s severe storms. The National Weather Service, along with County Representatives have been surveying damage and talking with residents today. To assist residents with their property cleanup, the following is provided: Later today Saturday June 2nd, Harford County will provide roll-off containers along Parsonage Lane, at Summit Drive and Stonewall Lane, Terry Way and Whitaker Mill Road, Woodbridge Manor Road and Whitaker Mill Road, as well as Milton Avenue, for residents to self-load the vegetative debris within your community that was created from last night’s storm.
For your convenience, these containers will be provided until Friday June 8th. Please note that only vegetative debris such leaves, twigs, and tree limbs should be placed within the containers. Trash and other waste will not be allowed. If you have any questions next week concerning the bins or if the bins have become full, please call the Harford County Bureau of Solid Waste Management at 410-638-3637 from 7am to 3 pm. We have just driven around to four of the drop-off locations per this article. There were NO containers or designated sites for debris dumping. Is this a joke, a misspeak, or mistake?
