From Bongino for Senate:
Former Governor Robert Ehrlich (R-MD) today announced his endorsement of Dan Bongino, Maryland’s candidate for the United States Senate.
“Dan has the unmatched integrity and unique depth of experience necessary to defeat an entrenched incumbent like Senator Cardin,” Governor Ehrlich said. “His background in law enforcement and federal investigations, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen, afford not only a broad overview of the political arena but also personal expertise in job creation, fiscal responsibility, and community involvement.”
“We cannot continue down the same non-productive road we’ve traveled for the last 45 years,” Ehrlich added. “It’s time we elect someone new – someone who can relate to the needs of the average Maryland family. Dan’s message resonates strongly with both Democrats and Republicans alike, and he is the right person at the right time to represent Maryland and shake things up in Washington.”
Dan Bongino served in the United States Secret Service under three presidential administrations. A member of the elite Presidential Protective Division, Bongino represented the United States as a lead government security official in more than 25 countries. Among his numerous achievements, Dan led an investigation that broke one of the largest fraud rings in Maryland’s history.
“Governor Ehrlich and I have long-shared the basic tenets of public safety, fiscal responsibility, education, health and the environment,” candidate Bongino said. “His experience in the Maryland House of Delegates, four terms in the United States Congress, and as the 60th governor of our state is a testament to his life of service to Marylanders, and I am proud to have his endorsement in this election.”
Dan Bongino holds graduate degrees in Business Administration and Neuropsychology. He lives in Severna Park, MD with his wife, Paula, and their two daughters.

I meet him over a year ago and found him to be a very engaging and bright man. I knew right away we needed more like him in politics.
If we are to save our country (I do not think I am overstating when I say “save”)we need to get high quality people in places of leadership. Dan is just this type and the state will benefit greatly if he is elected.

Dan Bongino might be a good guy, but it is clear that he is politically tonedeaf. Why would anyone care who Bob Ehrlich endorses? I would think that any endorsement from Ehrlich would hinder his efforts at being elected, rather than help him. C’mon Dan, this state news new leadership and both Ben Cardin and Bob Ehrlich are not the answer.
