Level Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual Fire Prevention Open House on Sunday October 7, 2012 from Noon-3:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Members of Level VFC will be on hand to give station tours, demonstrate auto extrication techniques, and show off their fire and EMS apparatus. President Jason Gallion says” every year the open house attracts hundreds of citizens.” “This is an excellent opportunity for them to learn valuable life saving information and to meet the volunteers who care about their safety.” Children will have the chance to take a fire engine ride, squirt water from a fire hose, and try on fire fighting gear. There will be displays from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Harford County 9-1-1, APG Fire and Emergency Medical Services and much more.
The first 100 adults to arrive will receive a free re-usable shopping bag and all children will receive a free fire prevention goodie bag and fire helmet. Light refreshments will be provided by the Level Ladies Auxiliary.
