David Healey has written frequently about the people and places of the Chesapeake Bay region for a number of publications. He is the author of three Civil War novels (including Sharpshooter) and two non-fiction books, 1812: Rediscovering Chesapeake Bay’s Forgotten War and Delmarva Legends and Lore. The war of 1812 is sometimes called “The Forgotten War”, however the people and personalities of this war have left an everlasting impression. Join local author David Healey for an overview of the war of 1812 in the Northern Chesapeake Bay area with special focus on the personalties that came out of the conflict. David will discuss such people as Kitty Knight, Joshua Barney, John O’Neill and Admiral Cockburn.
