From Harford County Government:
(Bel Air, MD) – On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, the Harford County Office of Human Relations and Human Relations Commission partnered with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and others to present the Small Business Opportunity Forum.
The event, designed to connect local small business owners with state and local resources, was quite the success. Attendees said they were pleased to have the opportunity to learn about initiatives and resources to build their businesses and to talk one-to-one with the agency representatives whose resources and initiatives best suited their needs. Representatives from Harford County Department of Economic Development, Harford County Public Library and Harford Community College joined together to talk about their new collaborative, Entrepreneurs Edge.
“Partnering with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, we were able to bring together state and local resources to assist those establishing and/or expanding their small businesses,” stated Elizabeth Hendrix, Director, of the Department of Community Services. “The Forum was well attended by entrepreneurs and exhibitors,” Hendrix remarked.
