Aberdeen, Maryland- November 15, 2012 – The armed abduction of Vi Ripken from her home on July 24, 2012 remains an active investigation.
The attached enhanced images of the suspect were captured at the Wal Mart Store in the 6700 block of Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie and at the Wal-Mart in the 100 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River, Maryland.
In addition, investigators would like to identify the owner/occupant of the vehicle shown in the photos; investigators believe the occupant(s) of the vehicle may have had contact with the suspect at the Wal Mart Store in Middle River. THIS IS NOT A SUSPECT VEHICLE; the occupants may have witnessed the suspect. The vehicle appears to be a Dodge mini van with unknown type stickers on both backside windows. The images of the vehicle are also from the Wal-Mart on Carroll Island Rd.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or potential witness vehicle is urged to contact the Criminal Investigation Section of the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-272-2121.
