From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On December 23, 2012 at 12:08 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2600 blk of Greenspring Ave West. for a breaking and entering in progress.
The homeowner, Walter Verbus, 72, came home and interrupted the suspect while the suspect was burglarizing the home. Mr. Verbus first reported observing a gray / silver KIA sports utility sitting in the driveway of his residence blowing the horn. He described the driver of the KIA as a white female with blonde hair.
At this point, the suspect described as a white male with a black mustache, wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt, and black gloves, ran from the rear of the residence towards the front of the home. A neighbor, aware of what had happened, then began chasing the suspect. As he fled the suspect dropped the property he stole from the home which was recovered by police.
A search of the area by uniformed deputies, police K-9 and MSP aviation was unable to locate the suspect. There were no injuries.
