From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On December 31, 2012 at 11:21 p.m., Harford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of Bush Chapel Road in Aberdeen for a report of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment.
Investigation revealed Austin D. Remines, 17, of the 1200 block of Person Place in Belcamp, was operating a 2008 Suzuki Forenza on Bush Chapel Road near the intersection of Mt. Calvary Church Road. As he rounded a curve Mr. Remines vehicle was reportedly on the yellow center line. Witnesses reported he swerved back into his lane but as he did so lost control of his vehicle crossing into the lane of an oncoming car. Mr. Remines Suzuki collided with a 2008 Toyota Yaris driven by Christopher Radcliffe, 27, of Moyer Drive in Aberdeen.
After being extricated from the car, Mr. Remines was transported to Harford Memorial Hospital by members of the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Company. He was pronounced deceased at 2:18 a.m. from injuries he sustained in the accident.
Mr. Radcliffe was not injured in the crash and no charges will be filed against him. Sheriff’s deputies determined both drivers were seat belted at the time of the crash. Mr. Remines body will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy. The cause of the crash remains under investigation; a personal injury attorney hired by the victims family will help with the investigation. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office has investigated six fatal traffic accidents resulting in seven fatalities in 2012.

So sad to hear any loss of life, especially so young. People really need to just slow down, take their time and stay alert. Healing wishes to his loved ones.

You can tell people to slow down until you turn blue in the face. People will not slow down. We can not assume either this was the cause.
