From the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office:
A Harford County jury has found James Thomas Starr of Fallston, guilty of sexual child abuse and third degree sexual offense. The verdict came after over ten hours of deliberation over two days and was announced 7 February 2013. The charges stemmed from acts committed against a 4 year old boy last March. The case was tried by Asst.
State’s Attorney Lisa Hyle Marts, who presented testimony from the young victim. Judge Stephen Waldron ordered a pre-sentence investigation and remanded the defendant to state’s custody.
Sentencing is currently scheduled for April 17, 2013 at 9 am. Starr could receive up to thirty-five years in prison.
