From the office of Del. Kathy Szeliga:
Delegate Kathy Szeliga (R-7) was honored tonight by Maryland Business for Responsive Government for her consistently high Roll Call score. She scored a perfect 100% during both of her first two years as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates.
“These were two very tough years for business and business issues in Annapolis. Tax and regulatory issues pervaded both the special and regular sessions in 2012 and historic tax increases seemed to be the legacy, but Delegate Szeliga stood strong and stood for job creation, less taxes and less regulation.”
Roll Call has been published by Maryland Business for Responsive Government (MBRG), a non-partisan business organization, since 1987. Votes selected to appear in Roll Call are chosen by an independent bi-partisan board upon the adjournment of the legislative session.
“If it’s worth doing, it’s worth measuring. Improving the lives of Marylanders through a healthy, competitive economic development climate benefits everybody,” said the group’s President Kim Burns, “and that’s what Roll Call is designed to measure.”
“Congratulations to Delegate Szeliga. Her constituents should be proud indeed,” she said.

No, it’s about casting votes beneficial to the business’s, large and small that do more for Americans than government ever will.
