From the Maryland State Police, Bel Air Barrack:
(Bel Air, MD) – On February 25, 2013, at 6:15 p.m. the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack received several calls by telephone from bystanders at the Burger King in Bel Air who reported a shooting had occurred.
Troopers from the Bel Air Barrack and Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies immediately responded to the Burger King located at 2110 Emmorton Road in Bel Air, in response to the reported shooting. Upon arrival troopers and deputies quickly canvassed the scene and were able to determine that no one was injured. There was no physical evidence of shell casings located at the scene nor were their signs of any property damage. Bel Air Barrack Criminal Investigation Section was called out for further investigation.
Troopers were able to determine that several juveniles were in the parking lot of the Burger King at the time the shooting took place. Through further investigation it was revealed that a seventeen year old juvenile male from Abingdon fired several shots from a BB gun at another vehicle. The other vehicle was occupied by other juveniles whom the shooter was acquainted with. Again, no one was injured and there was no damage to the vehicle that was shot at.
Charges are pending.
LOL WUT says
Who was the dimwit who phoned in a shooting?
This whole incident sounds like a big waste of time.
Dale says
Yes heaven forbid someone call in what was mistaken for a gunshots. There are smaller charge .22 rounds which can sound like a bb gun. Would it have been a big waste of time if someone was injured or these BBs had hit someone. Judging by your “LOL WUT”, your maturity level begs to question if you’ve got you parents permission to even post on Dagger.
As a gun owner myself this type of stupidity leads to consequences usually not realized until someone is either hospitalized or injured by one of these small projectiles hitting them. So try to think about that and then ask yourself “WUT” could happen if a kid or retail store patron was hit.

Wonder if this juvenile was holding a “no bel air Walmart” sign?

Just imagine the crime a new walmart would bring to that pristine part of harford county ….

I would argue that “pristine” was compromised when the Sonic and Walgreens were built.
wait a minite hold up now player says
Now, when the leaning news media reports bb gun, do they mean a .177 caliber air gun, or an airsoft gun that fires those 6mm diameter plastic bb’s?
Fed up says
I’m guessing it’ll be a semi-automatic military style rifle….one that nobody needs…isn’t that the script?
