Deputy First Class Rosette Named Harford County Detention Center 2012 Correctional Officer of the Year

June 15, 2013 By Dagger News Service 13 Comments

From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:

Deputy First Class Christopher Rosette was recently named the Harford County Detention Center 2012 Correctional Officer of the Year at the Maryland Correctional Administrators Association Annual Conference, on June 2, 2013, in Ocean City, MD.

DFC Rosette, who has been with the HCSO since 2007, was recognized for his hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication that contribute to the successful operations of the Inter-Agency Processing Center.

Illustrating his loyalty, DFC Rosette often stays late or reports early, ensuring the requirements are fulfilled for the shift and the Harford County Detention Center.

On more than one occasion, DFC Rosette’s attention to detail has led to the discovery of contraband during inmate searches. The contraband found included an assortment of pills, CDS, tobacco products, and a lighter. DFC Rosette’s proper and thorough search process not only prevented contraband from entering the facility, it also resulted in successful prosecution of the cases against these defendants.

According to DFC Rosette’s nomination, he is an “unsung hero … truly an absolute asset to the Agency and deserves the recognition of 2012 Correctional Officer of the Year”.

In that list of accomplishments, how come they didn’t mention when he shot his gun through the apartment wall when he was ‘cleaning’ his pistol.

That was him? He was very lucky no one was hit.

Though in all fairness that was technically before his correctional officer career began…

Wow. It must be worse then I thought over there. Is this the best they have to offer anymore? Corrections officer that goes into the LE academy, shoots a hole through two walls and tries to cover it up then gets to go back to rhe debtention center and keep his job as a CO. Good job guys
