The coverage plans will include 41 “pool play” games, as well as the International, US and World Championship Games. The network will also provide a Spanish language broadcast for several games.
“SFMSports.Net has offered live and on-demand games and content to the fans of the Cal Ripken World Series since 2010, and I am excited to be able to continue this tradition,” explained Steve Clendenin, President and CEO of SFMSports.Net. Games will be streamed live, at no charge, on the network’s three Internet and Mobile streaming channels, allowing fans, families and supporters to access the broadcasts in real time from anywhere in the world. The broadcasts will also be available for on-demand downloading on the network’s website. “We noticed a strong international following from our Latin America markets, as well as Australia and Japan,” noted Clendenin. In addition to offering live audio play by play of all of the Cal Ripken World Series games, the network will also produce video features showcasing the youth baseball talent, the Ripken Baseball complex and the local host families. “Our goal is to bring the CRWS to the world. If you can’t make it to Aberdeen, we’ll bring the games and events to you,” added Clendenin.
“We are excited to renew our partnership with SFMSports.Net. This enables all of our fans to be able to listen to games both live and on-demand,” explained Lauren Morris, Cal Ripken World Series Coordinator. “2012 was the best CRWS to date, and we look forward to building on our success as we move toward the future together,” adds Morris.
