The Hosanna School Museum will present a special program on The Stories of Everyday People in the War of 1812 – slaves, freedmen and women. The program is sponsored, in part, by the Maryland Humanities Council and the War of 1812 Commission. Mike Dixon, adjunct professor at the University of Delaware, “reveals the unpublished stories of unrepresented peoples such as slaves and African-Americans, and the narratives of everyday people who aren’t talked about in the history books.” The date is Saturday, July 20, at 11:00am at the Hosanna School museun located at 2424 Castleon Road in Darlington.
