From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
[September 11, 2013, Whiteford, MD] — At approximately 2:28 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1600 block of Main Street in Whiteford for a report of a burglary and sexual assault. It was also reported the suspect had a weapon.
The victim, a 40 year old female, told deputies the suspect broke into her home and assaulted her. She described him as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’9-5’11, 200lbs, short hair, black hoody, and jeans. She told police the suspect punched her and cut her and then attempted to sexually assault her. A barking dog may have caused him to stop and flee the home.
Deputies searched the area and posted a lookout with Pennsylvania State Police however they were not able to locate a suspect. The victim did suffer minor injuries and was transported to Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment.
