From the Harford County Democratic Central Committee:
There is currently a vacancy on the Harford County Democratic Central Committee. Democratic Central Committees are gender balanced, meaning we can only accept applications from registered male Democrats at this time. In accordance with the Maryland Democratic Party By-Laws this vacancy will be filled at our October 22nd regular meeting. Central Committee members:
– support all Democratic candidates
– assist with fundraising
– participate in one or more sub-committees
– attend monthly committee meetings as well as two State Party meetings each year
– attend community events to maintain a public presence of the Democratic Party
– volunteer time during elections on behalf of Democratic candidates
Applicants must be male registered Democrats over the age of 18 that resident in Harford County. All those interested in applying for this vacancy should either mail a professional resume along with Democratic Party Credentials (a list of your activities and interests in Democratic Politics) to the Harford County Democratic Central Committee, P. The deadline to submit applications is October 1, 2013. Applicants will be interviewed by the Central Committee at our October 22, 2013 meeting after which a vote will be taken to elect the new member.
The Harford County Democratic Central Committee is made of 10 members (5 women and 5 men) that are elected to four year terms in the gubernatorial primary, and is charged with promoting the Democratic Party in Harford County, recruiting and training candidates, registering voters, and highlighting Democratic Priorities at local events and festivals. Please stop misusing the word gender. Words have gender, not people.
Sorry, Otto, that would only be true in your mind and your memory. Once that was true but the term has been co-opted by the Gay/Lesbian/TransGender etc. lobby and social organizations.
You really know your way around things Otto. First asphalt spawns cars spontaneoulsy and now you think humnas do not possess gender. Do you sit on the top of a mountain dispensing these pearls?
You could look it up. Once the language has been corrupted we’re in a pickle, so to speak. (See the word gay, as an example.)
