Fighting Bullying From Schoolyard to Workplace; Discussion Sept. 25 in Fallston

From Harford County government:

“Stand Up and Be Counted: Schoolyard Bullying to Workplace Harassment” is the theme of the first Community Conversations: For Today’s Woman held by Harford County Department of Community Services and the Harford County Commission for Women.

The panel discussion takes place Wednesday, September 25, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Veronica “Roni” Chenowith Activity Center, 1707 Fallston Road in Fallston.

The evening will include a discussion about the rise in bullying and incivility from childhood to adulthood and will include ways to handle those situations and more.

Several community leaders are part of the panel and include: Deputy First Class Lori Denbow, a member of the School Policing Unit of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office; Amy Wagner, LCSW-C, clinical director of Family and Children’s Services in Harford County; Rod Bourn; coordinator of professional development at Harford Community College and Bobby Audley, founder of Bobby Audley Speaking, a company that serves as a resource for leadership, communication and teambuilding.

Jonita D. Shoaff will moderate the workshop. She is a member of the Harford County Commission for Women and program coordinator of the W.A.G.E. Connection at Harford Community College.

“Stand Up and Be Counted: Schoolyard Bullying to Workplace Harassment” is the first of two discussions in the Community Conversations: For Today’s Woman series being held in the fall.
