From the office of Congressman Andy Harris:
Today, Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. voted for the continuing resolution that would defund The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or Obamacare, control spending, and keep the government funded until December 15, 2013. It is now up to the U.S. Senate to stand with the House and the American people against this law and make responsible reductions in out of control government spending.
“We have seen as this disastrous law is being implemented that it is anything but affordable and patients are not being protected,” said Harris. “This law is bad for middle class families who will see their premiums go up and young people who are just starting out. Businesses are having to move full time workers to part time, lay people off, or put off hiring because the regulations are too expensive. It is now time for the U.S. Senate to listen to the American people and take action to defund this train wreck.”
Andy Harris knows this will result in a Government shutdown, which is what he really wants. Foolish way to try and defund Obamacare
I have a better idea lets go to regular order and have a budget?
Let’s shut the government down. Trauma from a shutdown is just another scare tactic like sequestration. I remember when a lot of people were scared out of their wits that sequestration (yes, the idea did come from the White House – that’s settled) would do all kinds of dire things. It didn’t. They people in government that said it would lied. Same thing here.

lyrics the country. Lord and Lady Marberry, can I take pictures?
I was wondering why Harris has his Office Staff send out an announcement telling us what we all knew far in advance what he would do.
Then I realized why: It is so seldom that he gets to announce that he has voted FOR something!
Don’t worry, Andy. No matter how you vote, that healthcare package you complained about not starting the instant you were elected, will still be in effect. It’s the rest of us whose pay and benefits you will be undermining. Remember 1948!
