Seedco will host “Maryland Health Connection Day” at local CVS pharmacies on Saturday, November 16th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM, providing uninsured residents the opportunity to learn more about their health coverage options available under the federal Affordable Care Act.
The event is part of a statewide outreach and education effort to provide information about quality health plans provided through Maryland Health Connection, the state-based health insurance marketplace operated by the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. Residents can find out if they qualify for insurance assistance that would lower their premiums and out-of-pocket costs, as well as find out if they qualify for Medicaid.
Authorized representatives of Seedco will be on hand at the following designated CVS locations, beginning at 2:00 PM to answer questions and provide information that will assist residents in enrolling online at MarylandHealthConnection.gov, or in person.

An estimated 800,000 Marylanders are currently without health insurance. Open enrollment through Maryland Health Connection extends through March 2014, with coverage starting as early as January 1, 2014.
Seedco is a national non-profit organization founded in in 1987. Its mission is to advance economic opportunity for people, businesses and communities in need. The three primary program areas through which it pursues this mission are workforce development, work and family supports (including benefits outreach and enrollment), and technical assistance for small businesses and non-profit organizations. Maryland Health Connection is the state-based health insurance marketplace for individuals, families and small businesses to compare and enroll in health insurance, as well as determine eligibility for Medicaid and other assistance programs, federal tax credits and cost-sharing reductions.
