From Harford County Government:
(Forest Hill, MD) – – The Harford County Department of Emergency Services has received a report of a major power outage affecting several areas of Harford County. The outage occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Areas affected by the power outage include the Town of Bel Air, MD Rt. 543 between Hickory and Wheel Road and portions of MD Rt. 22, Churchville Road. Traffic lights in and around the Town of Bel Air as well as on the state highways are out-of-service. The State Highway Administration has been notified of the non-functioning traffic lights.
BGE is currently working on the power outage and is attempting to restore electrical service as soon as possible.
Due to the loss of traffic control devices at intersections, motorists are urged to use extreme caution.
