From the Maryland State Police:
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack “D” are continuing their investigation into an early morning crash Monday, which claimed the life of a 20 year-old man.
Austin Robert Lentz of Keeneland Court, near Forest Hill, MD died as a result of the injuries suffered in the collision on Belair Road, just south of Reckord Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:55 a.m. crash by emergency medical personnel from the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.
The investigation by Troopers revealed Lentz was traveling northbound in a 2012 Ford Mustang, just north of the Baltimore County line. Lentz was the sole occupant of the Mustang. At the same time, a 2003 Ford F-550 box truck was traveling southbound in Lane No. 2.
For unknown reasons, the Mustang lost control as it ascended the hill and rounded the curve in the road. The Mustang crossed the double yellow lines and collided with the front of the Ford truck. The operator and sole occupant of the box truck was identified as Donald Glen Ranger, 60, from Mount Wolf, PA. Ranger was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD, where he was listed in stable condition late Monday.
The collision forced the closure of Belair Road (US0001) for nearly four hours while investigators reconstructed the collision sequence and documented the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by Trooper First Class M. McWilliams and Senior Trooper J. Feaster. A copy of their findings will be forwarded to the Harford County State’s Attorney Office for review.

It was Fallston not Joppa area.
Harford Driver says
Too many fatalities in Fallston either on Rt 1 or Rt 152. These roads were dangerous enough year ago and are really in need of improvement or expansion to handle the traffic load of today. Both of these roads are major arteries and need to look more like a divided hwy than a patch-work upgrade from a country road.

The road did not cause this accident. Sunday morning, too much traffic did not cause this accident. Don’t be foolish and talk about the road being the problem.

The guy off of watervale road said you can use his easement for expansion

I believe the Zip code map indicates this area is called Kingsville, all together now Kings-ville.

My condolences to the family of the young man lost in this accident. I don’t think the zip code matters. This area could be Fallston at some boxes, also Joppa, and and also Hydes depending on how the postal dept drew the delivery lines.
We have lost another young person too early.

What idiot would blame the road on a traffic accident. If people would drive the POSTED speed limit on our roads, and hang up and drive, there wouldn’t be any accidents.
SHA road worker says
I have been called into work more times then I care to remember to close our state roads in Harford County and help set up a detour because of fatal accidents. The main reason we have these terrible accidents is because of speeding and or drunk drivers. There is much more traffic in Harford county now then there was 34 years ago when I started working for SHA. Everyone is driving to fast and not paying attention to there driving. My fellow co-workers and I see it all out there everyday with people speeding, texting and talking on there cell phones. There is no doubt this young man was speeding. I feel terrible for him and his family, but I am glad he didn’t take anyone else out. Just think if he would have hit a car with a family of five in it instead of a truck.

You people are unbelievable! A vibrant young man in the prime of his life was killed. The zip code doesn’t matter and unless you know something the rest of us don’t, stop assuming you know the cause of the accident!! Maybe he had a heart attack or a seizure. Maybe a tire blew. There are a billion reasons other than speeding or texting that could have caused the car to veer into oncoming traffic. Stop speculating and pray for his grieving family. While your at it pray for forgiveness for your uncaring, self-serving and opinionated selves!

No one said you had to read (and like) the comments. If they bother you so bad, stop reading them. Pretty simple, but I’m sure I’ll get some “thumb down” karma. Start your own website and moderate the comments to your liking.
The ZIP code is IMPORTANT to me. Maybe it’s not to you, but don’t push your opinion on me.
I like my steak medium rare, but don’t try and tell me I should be eating it well done because that’s not what I like.
