County government has a description of the CIM process at www.harfordcountymd.gov/cim.
If you have concerns you wish to raise or simply want more information, this meeting is your opportunity to do so.

Time to put your money where your mouths are. Its imperative that we close Youths’ Benefit Elementary and absorb those students into existing modernized buildings. That reduces the size of HCPS commensurate with the population trend. That reduces costs. Reallocate resources where needed.
It’s not about reducing costs, it’s not like HCPS is spending their money. God forbid they reduce staff by 150 people, close the building and sell it off reducing the already 1/2 mile of 152 the county already owns in the area. Getting rid of Youths Benefit would save taxpayers millions, rebuilding it will cost taxpayers millions.
Same can be said for Havre de Grace Middle and High. Unfortunatley this would make to much sense and piss off to many people!
They could put 5th grade in Fallston Middle and disburse the other students to Red Pump, Forest Lakes, and Jarretsville. That would save a lot of money.
Do you have any idea how overcrowded Red Pump is now??? They have about 2-3 housing developments going up and class sizes close to 30.
Class sizes is not the issue it is percent capacity.
Either 3 villages have lost their idiots or I am not in on the joke. I can not see the value of destroying a whole community by closing it elementary school, so I assume there is more to this insane comments then their face value.
Tom Meyers is this more of your comedy writing? If so it is not funny, which is more indication it is you.
Brian, there is already too many elementary schools in Harford County. Get a clue…..
Tom
So YBES should be closed?
The community that has kept you employed for all these years should now have its elementary school closed because you think there are to many such schools.
I guess Ron White was right, You Can’t Fix Stupid!
An elementary school is keeping the community together? Alrighty then….
Yes it does.
Hopefully people from the I95 corridor will explore new ventures, and start buying homes up there in Fallston.
One would think that the 4 year old community center that was already bought and paid for by the citizens of Harford County would serve as a much more appropriate community center than a decaying Elementary School. Especially since they’re in the same place.

Logic would dictate.
