From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
Over the past week, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office has received several phone calls from Harford County residents concerned about a potential scam phone call they received.
First, the scammer tells the potential victim he is a deputy with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and there is a warrant out for their arrest. The scammer continues by saying the potential victim can pay a fine to avoid jail time. To pay the fine, the suspect instructs the victim to go to a local store, put money on a Green Dot card or prepaid credit card and call back with the card information.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public while we do serve warrants that may have a monetary amount attached to them, we would never require someone to pay a fine with a Green Dot card or prepaid credit card.
If you believe you are a victim of this scam, please contact your local precinct.
Yeah, “you are wanted, go and put money on a Green Dot card and call me back.” What will people come up with next?
Wonder how long it will take for the real police to call the number back and nab this dipsh*t!
If someone called to tell me there was a warrant for my arrest, my response would be “then come on over and give me a ride to booking, my lawyer will meet us there.” How dumb are people today?

You really don’t want to know the answer to that……right?
To those of you who have been scammed. I am Santa. Due to budget cutbacks at the north pole, funds for presents are low this year, so I will need some donations to keep Christmas going another year. Please put all donations on a green dot card and then reply with the info here. Merry Christmas.
PS. My cousin is a Prince in Africa, if you all want to split his millions of dollars in fortunes, let me know.
If you get such a call, you should gasp, then ask incredulously, “How did you find the bodies?”

Maybe it is a deputy because they have not gotten a raise in almost a decade!
