Subject: Speculation-BRAC reductions at APG and efforts to support retention of jobs.
No speculation folks. CECOM is headed for Huntsville. AMC HQ moved down there as part of BRAC 2005, and their leadership isn’t happy that they had to move and many NJ residents are able to commute to APG without having to PCS.
Google says 2005 was the last round, and 2017 wasn’t authorized.
Sounds to me like CECOM is staying put for at least a decade.
They can move people with other non-BRAC HR tools. The OPM website discusses some of these here:

This process has been explained to you before, yet you continue to make the same inane comments about CECOM moving. Are you obtuse or just plain stupid?

Right in tornado (Dixie) alley and right now is their “season” for it.

Wouldn’t be a wise move. Jealous and envious motives for jeopardizing missions has bad consequences.
