The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating a possible shooting that occurred Saturday on Liberty Street. Officers were notified of damage to a vehicle around 1:45 p.m. on February 13, 2016. The victim told police that she heard a loud “bang” when she was driving on Liberty Street after an argument with an acquaintance.
When she later inspected her vehicle she found damage that she thought to be from someone throwing rocks. When Officers investigated they found that the damage was in fact caused by a firearm. An immediate search of the area did not turn up any evidence of a shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to please call Detective Tomlinson of the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-272-2121. All tips are confidential.
