From the Harford County Democratic Central Committee:
After a long campaign, on November 8, voters are left with two major party choices, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
The Democrats had a spirited campaign where issues and plans for the future were debated. The Republicans had a campaign of vitriol and personal attacks. We support Hillary Clinton for President.
The job of President is so important that we cannot leave it to a man who has no experience in public service. In contrast, Ms. Clinton has a lifelong record of advocacy for minorities, children, women and health care; plus she served as First Lady of Arkansas and the United States, was a U.S. Senator and U.S. Secretary of State. Would we really want to entrust this office to a man who has done so little for the public and boasts that he has paid little or no taxes for the last 20 years?
Further, to give Mr. Trump the nuclear codes with the ability to destroy nations and civilized life on this planet would be reckless and irresponsible. Mr. Trump’s unrestrained and intemperate behavior during the campaign reveals he does not have the fitness or temperament to be even a fair or bad president. Mr. Trump’s many serious unresolved character issues are deeply troubling.
We urge voters to elect Ms. Clinton on November 8 and help her to become the best President she is capable of being.
