What: Rep. Andy Harris’ staff will be present to assist at an IRS workshop focused on the wrap-up of tax season.
When: Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

More: The IRS asks that individuals with specific needs or questions please call Rep. Andy Harris’ Bel Air Office at 410-588-5670 so that they can guarantee that the appropriate IRS staff are on hand to answer questions. The IRS will also have representatives on hand to answer frequently asked questions and provide commonly used forms.
Explain what good this does to the average tax payer after the deadline?
If the taxpayer finds they made a mistake, they can file an ammended return. If they filed for an extension, the return can be filed with correct data.
@Cdev – There are many people who file for extensions e.g., small and medium sized business owners who typically are LLCs or Sub S Corporations not to mention folks who have for whatever reason failed to file in previous tax years who could benefit .
Would this have not been more helpful in mid march?

He has a point. A “Wrap up of tax season” would probably have been better before 15 April. It was of course a rhetorical question. I’m sure you got that part. It was also sarcasm directed at Mr Harris.
