Joppatowne, MD _ Detectives working a serial robbery case nabbed the assailant seconds after he struck a pharmacy on the Pulaski Highway corridor in Harford County Thursday night.
Anthony Pierre Willis, 45, of the 4000 block of Hawksbury Road, Pikesville, Maryland, was taken into custody as he left the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the 300 block of Pulaski Highway, near Joppatowne. He was charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault, theft and resisting arrest in connection with Thursday’s heist. Charges are pending in connection with three other robberies in Harford County.
Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriff’s Office detectives joined forces to stop the robber after he targeted pharmacies and an eatery in the Edgewood area starting nine days earlier. MARYLAND STATE POLICE ARREST MAN INVOLVED IN TWO HARFORD COUNTY CRASHES
(Bel Air, MD) – This evening the Maryland State Police have arrested the motorist involved in two Harford County crashes which occurred on Friday, November 7, 2008.
The accused is Christopher H. Lentz, 37, of the 5600-block of Bell Gwynn Road in Glen Arm, Maryland. He is charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter for the crash that occurred at about 5:00 p.m. on Friday which killed two people. These charges can result in a $5000 fine and/or ten years in prison. Additional charges are pending.
Lentz was arrested by Maryland State Police from the Bel Air Barrack at his home at approximately
5:00 p.m. this evening. He was taken to the barracks for processing and then transported to the Harford County central booking center to await an initial appearance before a court commissioner.
The Bel Air Bypass was closed in both directions between Route 24 and Vale Road for about 7 hours Friday after a three-vehicle, head-on, double-fatality accident occurred around 5 p.m.
Four people were trapped in one of the vehicles – a minivan believed to be carrying several children – and two Medevac helicopters have transported the pediatric patients to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. A Johns Hopkins doctor was also transported to the scene of the accident by helicopter to help rescuers remove two additional victims who were said to be heavily entrapped in a vehicle. A third Medevac was on the way to take yet another pediatric patient to the hospital.

Trooper First Class Richard E. Carroll III, 30, was honored yesterday by the Baltimore Sun as their Police Officer of the Year. The award was presented to TFC Carroll in recognition of his criminal investigation expertise, leadership abilities and community service.

(Aberdeen, MD)- Due an ongoing Maryland State Police crash investigation, all north and southbound lanes of I-95, south of Maryland Route 22 in Harford County have been closed. The crash involves an overturned tractor trailer resulting in the leakage of a flammable liquid.
Traffic delays are expected in the area of the crash and motorist are encouraged to take alternate routes. Detours as are follows:
SOUTHBOUND I-95- All southbound traffic is currently being detoured onto Maryland Route 22.
NORTHBOUND I-95- All northbound traffic is currently being detoured onto Maryland Route 543.
It is not known at this time how long I-95 may be closed. Updated traffic information will be provided throughout the morning.
