Forest Hill Industrial Airpark, Inc. – Harford County: On October 14, 2009, Forest Hill Industrial Park paid a penalty settlement of $3,000 to the Sediment Control Fund for alleged violations including failure to obtain coverage under the General Permit for Stormwater Associated with Construction Activity prior to beginning construction, as well as the failure to maintain adequate sediment controls, allowing soil and sediment to enter the outfall to Bynum Run.

(Bel Air, MD) Troopers assist Virginia Beach (Va.) Police Department in child sex abuse investigation.
On 09/02/09, troopers from the MD State Police- Bel Air Barrack arrested John David Wallace (Age 29) of the 1700 Block of Landmark Drive in Forest Hill on an out of state arrest warrant.
The investigation began in mid June of 2009 when members of the barrack criminal investigation section were contacted by a detective from the Virginia Beach Police Department requesting assistance in locating Wallace. Wallace was under investigation for sexual battery of a female relative who was under 13 at the time of the alleged act.
Troopers were able to locate Wallace at his place of employment in the Town of Bel Air. After conducting lengthy interviews with Wallace, troopers gathered enough evidence for Virginia Beach Detectives to obtain an arrest warrant. Wallace was taken into custody ...Continue Reading
Joseph I. Cassilly, State’s Attorney for Harford County, announced today that Glenn Joseph Raynor, 40 years of age, was sentenced today in Harford County Circuit Court to 100 years to serve. The two week long trial in June ended in guilty verdicts on all twelve counts.
Judge Emory A. Plitt Jr. sentenced Mr. Raynor to 80 years to serve in the Division of Corrections on the first degree rape count, 10 years on a first degree sexual offense consecutive to the 80 and 10 years on a second first degree sexual offense consecutive to the 10. The remaining counts merged as lesser included offenses.

Harford County Public Schools is providing bottled water for drinking and to prepare cafeteria food at Forest Hill Elementary School in response to Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) contamination found during routine tests of the well water supplied to the school.
In a letter dated April 17, 2009, Principal Belinda Cole said a “minimal concentration” of the gasoline additive was found on school property and assured parents that the levels found in the water are “still well below the large margin of safety prescribed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).” The letter also said the switch to bottled water and other precautions were “to protect our students and staff from any adverse odor or taste from the water.” Forest Hill Elementary School does not have access to public water service.

(Harford County, MD – April 13, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Manford Criss, 28, early this morning at his residence in the 700 block of Roland Avenue, Bel Air, MD without incident.
A warrant was issued charging Criss with Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, and Assault in the 2nd Degree for an incident that occurred on April 12, 2009 originating in Forest Hill, MD.
At approximately 2:30a.m., the female victim, 22, from Forest Hill, MD agreed to meet with her ex-boyfriend Joseph Manford Criss. Criss picked her up at her residence and an argument ensued shortly thereafter in a nearby parking lot. The victim became uncomfortable and asked to be driven home, Criss refused. She then attempted to use a cell phone to dial 911 and while doing so was bitten on the left hand by Criss, leaving a large bruise.

Kreiner, Sr., a retired lieutenant with the United States Navy, will conclude his service with the Harford County Commission on Veteran Affairs on March 20, 2009. (Harford County, MD – February 24, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an assault that occurred in the 2400 block of Rocks Road, Forest Hill, MD on February 18, 2009.
Deputies determined that at approximately 6:30 a.m. a 46 year old female resident went outside to start her car when she was confronted and assaulted by an unknown subject. Moments later her boyfriend noticed she had not returned and started to look for her.
Once outside he located the victim laying on the ground with her clothes in disarray and suffering from an assault, he then called 911. It is believed the subject may have visited the home a week before looking for the boyfriend; however, he is not known to either the victim or the victim’s boyfriend.
The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
(Bel Air, MD – January 28, 2009) – - Harford County Government is alerting residents of the county of a scam being used as a ploy to enter homes for criminal purposes. The most recent attempt occurred in the Harford Estates development near Forest Hill.
As part of the scam, residents are being contacted by one or more individuals who identify themselves as employees of Harford County Water and Sewer. These individuals then indicate they must enter the home for some purpose such as to check your plumbing or to do a “toilet inspection”. Once in the home, they may rummage through the house for valuables and then leave within minutes.
