Police Charge Two in Armed Robbery of Edgewood Royal Farms

From Maryland State Police:

EDGEWOOD _ Two men face charges from the Maryland State Police in Harford County this week in connection with a brazen armed robbery of an Edgewood Road convenience store.

Maryland State Police criminal investigators charged Steven Lamar Joseph, 19, of the 300 block of Canoe Lane, Edgewood, MD and Adam Elijah Williams, 21, of the 9800 block of Dee Way, Middle River, MD with armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, theft under $1,000 and weapons violations.

The arrests of both men followed a month-long investigation by Troopers into the January 11th armed robbery of the Royal Farms convenience store located in the 600 block of Edgewood Road. Troopers were summoned to the store near Hanson Road shortly before 2 a.m. after two masked men entered the establishment and brandished a handgun. Police Seek Gunmen In Edgewood Home Invasion/Robbery

From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:

On Friday 01/29/10 at approximately 1830 hours the person depicted in the composite and accompanied by a second suspect did unlawfully enter a home on Windstream Way in Edgewood, MD. Both suspects were armed and robbed the occupants at gunpoint.

The victims, three males residents ages 37, 30, and 35, arrived home, the 800 block of Windstream Way in Edgewood, from work at approximately 6:30pm on January 29, 2010. Hearing a knock at their front door, while putting away groceries, they opened the door. Two black males wearing dark clothing and facemasks, pressed their way into the apartment, pushed them to the ground, and held them at gunpoint. Cash was stolen.

Police Seek Two Who Invaded Home and Robbed Four Elderly Women in Edgewood

(Edgewood, MD – January 18, 2010) On Sunday, January 17, 2010 at approximately 10pm, a home invasion occurred, in the 1900 block of Edgewater Drive, Edgewood MD, after a guest in the apartment opened the door to two males who entered the home and robbed the four women in the apartment. The victims of the incident include the resident, a 63-year-old woman and three elderly females between the ages of 62 and 95 years old that were visiting for the evening.

The two suspects knocked on the door, stating it was “Junior”. Since the victims have a friend with the same name, they opened the door. The first suspect is described as a light complexion black male, with a baby face wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans, somewhere between the age of 17- 22. Police Seek Armed Robbers Of Edgewood Royal Farms Store

On 01/11/10 at 1:31 a.m., Maryland State Police Troopers responded to the Royal Farms Store in the 630 Edgewood Road for an ARMED ROBBERY. The store employee advised two subjects wearing hooded jackets or sweatshirts entered the store, at which time one suspect displayed a handgun. The robbers ordered the clerk to give them money and then fled the store.

One suspect was a dark-skinned black male, height approx. 5-9, weight 160 pounds, 15 to 18 years old. The second suspect was a black male, height approx. 5-3, weight 140 pounds, 15 to 18 years old. One suspect was wearing a off-white hood sweatshirt with unknown design on thehood. The investigation is assigned to the Maryland State Police/ Harford County Sheriff’s Office Joint Criminal Investigations Unit under case number 10-53-000293.

High-speed Chase in Northern Harford Leads To Arrest of Serial Robber

(Harford County, MD: December 9, 2009) The Harford County Joint Investigative Task Force consisting of members from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barracks and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Preston Grace Jr., age 22, of Port Deposit, MD in connection with several armed robberies and thefts that occurred in Harford County between December 7 and December 9, 2009. Harford County locations related to Grace’s arrest include Fallston 7-11 Convenience Store, Redner’s Warehouse Market, The Dublin Market, Bel Air 7-11 Convenience Store, Sunoco in Rock Springs, Halsey’s Market and Saubel’s Market in Pylesville, MD.

Suspect Sought In Robbery of 7-11 in Fallston and Redners in Bel Air

The subject shown is being sought for questioning in connection with a robbery of the 7-11 store located at 2400 Pleasantville Rd, Fallston, MD which occurred on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 3:00am. (HCSO CC# 09-184970).

The subject described as a white male wearing a black jacket and ball cap with logo, approximately 18-25 years old, 5′7″- 5′8″ in height and weighing 170-185 pounds entered the store selected a bottled beverage, asked for a carton of cigarettes then during the transaction with the clerk implied he had a gun in his pocket demanding the money in the register. The subject left on foot towards Pleasantville Rd.

Robinson: “This Is Not Simply A Law Enforcement Problem. This Is A Community Problem”

On Thanksgiving night, there was a MURDER in the Edgewood Community of First Harford Square. Also on Tuesday night, the proprietitor of the convienence store across the street from Royal Farms on Edgewood Road was injured during an apparrent Armed Robbery.

Many will point fingers at the Sheriff’s Dept, some for political reasons and others simply because they just don’t know. This is not simply a Law Enforcement problem. This is a community problem.

In Harford County communities where there is a high percentage of homeownership, violent crime such as what we experience in Edgewood is “almost” non-existent. And we don’t have to look far (Joppatowne) for an example. Joint Investigative Task Force Nabs Serial Robber In The Act In Joppatowne

Joppatowne, MD _ Detectives working a serial robbery case nabbed the assailant seconds after he struck a pharmacy on the Pulaski Highway corridor in Harford County Thursday night.

Anthony Pierre Willis, 45, of the 4000 block of Hawksbury Road, Pikesville, Maryland, was taken into custody as he left the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the 300 block of Pulaski Highway, near Joppatowne. He was charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault, theft and resisting arrest in connection with Thursday’s heist. Charges are pending in connection with three other robberies in Harford County.

Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriff’s Office detectives joined forces to stop the robber after he targeted pharmacies and an eatery in the Edgewood area starting nine days earlier. Edgewood Armed Robber Strikes Four Times In As Many Days

Over the past several days business establishments in the Edgewood area have experienced four robberies that appeared to be committed by the same individual. The Friendly’s Restaurant, 1400 block of Pulaski Hwy, Edgewood, Md. was struck on two separate days: Monday, November 10 in the morning and again on Tuesday, November 11 at around 10:00 p.m. After the second Friendly’s robbery it appeared that the same suspect committed another robbery at the CVS Pharmacy, which is in close proximity to the Friendly’s. The suspect was then described as a B/M, around 40 – 50 yoa, with dark/gray hair wearing a hooded brown jacket and black pants.

Robber Hits Friendly’s Restaurant In Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, MD _ Troopers from the Maryland State Police at the Bel Air Barrack “D” are seeking assistance from the public to identify a middle-aged robber who held up a restaurant Tuesday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Troopers were called to the Friendly’s restaurant at 1407 Pulaski Highway after a man entered the establishment, implied he was armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The robber fled with a small amount of US currency. No injuries were reported.

The restaurant was open at the time of the holdup. However the suspect, who targeted only the staff, did not disrupt a half-dozen patrons eating in the restaurant’s adjacent dining room.

At the same time Troopers were en route to the restaurant, Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to the nearby CVS Pharmacy for a similar call. Troopers and Deputies determined the culprit to be the same for both ...Continue Reading
